Welcome to SplitterChoss 4.0

As some of you may have noticed, the site got a bit of an upgrade last week. I mostly wanted to get a new homepage that allowed access to more of the content on the site, and presented it in a more organized manner. This thing has been around for almost seven years now (!!!), and there’s quite a bit of good stuff lurking in the shadows. It also gives us a better way to post more different kinds of content, things that didn’t really have a home before, like the Video Slider on the bottom left, or the Events section, or the Local’s Corner. And speaking of local’s, keep an eye out for a new topo to one of our crags that has over 30 new routes since the guidebook came out.

Let me know what you think, or if you see any bugs, or if it looks weird on your iPad, iPod, iDontEvenOwnAnyOfThese devices.

Also, one thing I feel strongly about is giving back to the community, and I am working on an ongoing contest, where you can win something different each month simply by leaving a comment. Still finalizing the details, but you wont want to miss out on this chance to win more free stuff!

And a big thanks to everyone for your continued support. Tell all your friends! Click on our advertisers! Like us on Facebook! Follow us on Twitter! Get some Free Stickers! Give each other high fives!

Bulldog Creek Dog Walk (IV WI 4+)

Hayden Carpenter and Tom Bohanon recently repeated an obscure ice climb on the south side of Mt Sopris. Given a brief mention in Jack Robert’s ice guide, Bulldog Creek Walk is described as being 100 meters of WI 4. What they found was seven pitches of ice in a remote setting that makes for one […]
