This came as the result of inconsiderate climbers parking in the owner’s driveway, walking by their hot tub on their way to and from the climb, and a general disrespect for the people that live there. They are very kind folks and don’t mind having ice climbers around, as long as we stay in the gully on the approach and descent and treat the place respectfully. Follow directions in the guidebooks for the Drool. Park on the east side of the road across from an obvious, small creekbed (see map below). Walk up this, being sure to keep a low profile, for 5-10 minutes until the climb is in front of you. There are two pitches of really fun ice in a beautiful setting. Please treat this private land with the respect it deserves so we can keep enjoying it. And a big thanks to Al and Shirley, the owners.
