The Narrows is a scruffy little area between Carbondale and Redstone that sat quietly neglected for many years. A few adventurous locals, including Harvey Carter, made forays up some of the obvious lines, but for the most part it sat ignored until about six years ago when we went looking for something close to town and started bolting routes on the featured granite. It now boasts around 60 pitches, from 5.7 to 5.13, and has become a fun after work spot for locals. Rock and Ice recently hosted their annual Photo Camp up there, and the result is some brilliant images of our local crag. All of these are courtesty of Rock and Ice, to view more visit their photo camp page or checkout the most recent issue.
