Indian Creek Volunteer Work Day

This just in, the American Alpine Club is hosting a volunteer work day in Indian Creek, Saturday, October 15th, to help maintain the area and make improvements to trails, base areas, etc. More info from the AAC, via Jim Donini:

“The Western Slope Section of the AAC is once again pleased to sponsor, in cooperation with the BLM, a volunteer workday in Indian Creek arriving Friday night Oct 14, work on the 15th, and climb the 16th. Sounds fun, but wait….. in addition to earning great karma from helping spruce up a world class climbing area you also get:

• A free barbeque on Saturday night

• Outrageous campfire tales, some actually true

• Free crack climbing clinics on Sunday

• Beta from local experts

• A chance to meet and climb with new climbing friends

• Group camping

And….most of all, the good feeling from knowing the positive effect you helped make on the land managers that administer this remarkable resource.

Good stewardship is a positive way to help ensure continued access.

RSVP to Jim Donini at donini AT ouraynet.com by Oct 7 so he can plan the menu and camping requirements.”

This is a great way to give back to the community, hope to see a bunch of folks there!
