Photo of the Week #8 – Redstone Ice

It seems that spring is here, with warmer days being the norm this week and next. The ice has taken a beating with high temps at night, but if you’re motivated you can still find some (mostly) frozen water to swing at. For those who are still holding on to winter, here’s a shot from several years ago, a new, 5 pitch route that was done in Redstone by Kevin Cooper, Ryan Jennings, Aaron Broderick and Robbie Williams. Ryan wrote a fun piece about it, and I got to join on the last day to snag this shot of the last pitch. Some cool mixed climbing up the corner brought you to an exposed step across onto the ice and steep finish. Good times.
